Charlie has just turned three. He plays in an actual rugby team, and he knows the road rules on his teeny little 'Dinomite' bike. That pretty much sums him up...dynamite! When I arrived to meet him at the bike park, he was racing around so fast that his wee trainer wheels had the speed wobbles. I asked his permission to take photos of him playing, and he replied with the most enthusiatic "sure!!!" I have heard! Very compliant little kid.

After some cycling and some mucking around on the playground, it was time to get serious. Charlie had come prepared with his rugby gear, and after a quick costume-change, he was ready to hit the field. When I asked him if he liked playing rugby, he replied "YUP!! THIS MUCH!!!!"....
Apparently the parents all have to stand right around the edges of the field so the little kid with the ball doesn't run well out of the field while being chased by the mob of 29 other little kids! Cute!!

I must admit, this was the first time I had done family portraits inside a whale...but when a kid wants to explore, there is no stopping him! So Mum (Anne-Marie), and Auntie Sam willingly jumped inside too.
After 45 minutes of smiling beautifully for me, it was face-pulling time!
