Matt and Helen are the cutest couple out! Being childhood sweethearts since they were 12, they finally tied the knot on January 16th, on the sunniest day Dunedin has seen this year! It was a gorgeous day all round....full of love, yellow yumminess, music, and lots of friends and family. The whole day was very relaxed, and matched Helen and Matt amazingly. Allow me... Helen designed her own amazing dress, and it was made by her incredibly talented friend of many years (and bridesmaid) Jen! This photo cannot do it justice...it had to wrapped specifically around and around Helen in a very intricate way. A lovely wee note left in Helen's ring box from her parents on the morning of the wedding... Probably my favourite feature of the day (and maybe most photographed!) Helen's Christian Dior yellow shoes! Cuuute! Helen was super smily and gorgeous as she arrived at the church ready to walk down the aisle to her groom! I love Matt's face as he sees his bride for the first time...beautiful. Mr and Mrs Dent leave the church with the support of all their closest friends and family! Hugs all around for new mothers-in-law, family and friends! This is my fav. Mostly because you can just see the love. But also because this seat is incredibly special to Helen and Matt. It sits in the beautiful 'Friendship Gardens' in the Dunedin botanics, and was donated by Helen's grandparents. Not only that though, it is also where Matt officially proposed to Helen, and also where they spent many hours together during their years of dating. Even drinking milos there in the small hours of the morning. Special! These girls were the epitome of cuteness throughout the whole day! We were just about to leave the gardens to head to our next location, when they suddenly took off and started frolicking around the field with little yellow flowers! The boys all looking very smart. And casual at the same time. And the girls looking super pretty. And gorgeous at the same time! Each bridesmaid chose their own material and designed their own dress, all within the yellow colour scheme! So they were all very unique and fit their personalities so perfectly. When they thought no one else was watching, Matt and Helen had the most gorgeous intimate moment...I'm pretty sure even my big stalker lens didn't give me away... The reception was just filled with talented musicians. Matt's father sung a song, and then Matt's extremely awesome band, Native, performed for the night. Matt even jumped between the dance floor and his guitar and violin to seranade his lovely new wife! Then to finish the night off, Helen sung a beautiful song before they left! I love the look of adoration in Helen's eyes during their first dance! So gorgeous. Thank you so much for letting me be part of your day Matt and Helen! You guys are an amazing couple. l look forward to more feisty games of cards and trips to the beach!! It was awesome getting to know the bridal party too...you guys were great! Much love xo
