May in Arrowtown is nothing short of mind-blowing. And Sarah and Andy made it look even better.
I know what you're thinking... May?! And I'm just blogging it now?! *Hangs head in shame*... but this is the last blog I need to catch up on from last season... and then I promise to keep more on top of things!!
Sarah and Andy are a hilarious, amazing couple - there wasn't any doubt that their wedding day was going to be full of fun and games. We have been friends with these two (and actually their whole bridal party!) for a few years now, so were pretty stoked to be capturing their day. It was all pretty epic really... the scenery, the autumn colours, the delicate light, the playfulness, the dancing, the hilarity, the double-decker, the venue... but most of all, the amazing people. I'm not sure Andy and Sarah could have been more relaxed if they tried.

Andy and his mates all got ready in Queenstown. We've actually photographed this bunch of guys about 3 times in different bridal parties, but nothing is ever predictable with this crew. They are probably the funniest groomsmen we have had in front of our cameras... big call, I know... but they love it just a little too much. I've had to sensor for the blog ;)
There's always one who will try to get away with the 'tidy-casual' look...
Sarah has an absolute heart of gold - she is one of the most thoughtful people I know, and constantly sees the good in people. And she couldn't have chosen four more beautiful bridesmaids...
Meanwhile, the girls were calm, organised, and just sitting chatting when we arrived.
If I could have fitted Sarah's shoes in my camera bag, it's quite possible that she may not have ever seen them again...

Just as we were leaving the house, we were approached by some lovely strangers from Classic Car Journeys, who just happened to be in Arrowtown with one of their wedding cars! A quick ride and a few photos later, we were ready to get Sarah married!
The ceremony was held outside at Mount Soho Winery - a pretty stunning venue if you ask me. Andy was pretty stoked with his wife-to-be as she walked down the aisle...
Some words, some kissing, some signing, some laughing... and then they were all married up and stuff!
Their gorgeous wee niece did a beautiful reading! And their ceremony was taken by their good friend, Dan. I love when their favourite people are involved.
Everywhere we turned was another slice of gorgeous scenery...
And a beautiful, beautiful bride!
And then this happened...
Nothing like a good leaf fight...
And then as the light dropped below the hills, we headed back to Mount Soho for their reception...
Epic speeches...
Epic venue...
Epic first dance...
Epic wedding!
Sarah and Andy... we love you guys! Thanks soooo much for letting us share your day with you! We had a ridiculous amount of fun. Sending lots of love up to you in Auckland! xoxoxo
