Five year old girls have dreams. They dream of growing up and becoming beautiful princesses, ballerinas, mermaids, teachers, lolly-shop owners, or horse riders. They go to school and feel like they are completely grown up. Anything pink is their favourite, and their Mummies and Daddies are their world. They love to twirl around in pretty dresses and long to be told they are beautiful.
Hannah has just turned five, and what a great five year old she is! In one week, she had a big birthday party, started school, and had a fancy photo shoot! It was a big week for a little girl, but Hannah loved every minute of it. For some reason, I expected her to be quite shy when I first arrived, but it was quite the opposite. Hannah is gorgeous and was so excited about getting a photo taken of absolutely anything she could possibly show me.
I met Hannah and her Mum, Roberta, at the end of Hannah's ballet lesson. At the moment, Hannah's world revolves around ballet, anything pink, and her wonderful parents. So we based our photo shoot on this very particular time in her life. A time that will be treasured as she grows up, and her dreams develop and mould into different things.

Hannah was practicing first position, which they call 'cake position' in her class! I don't know if it would be a good idea for me to be thinking about cake in the middle of a ballet lesson...
Hannah loooves dancing and twirling! She also learns hip-hop, so she is quite the talented wee girl!

After she had run out of moves to show me at the ballet studio, we set off back to Hannah's amazing home! What I loved about Hannah was that we became instant friends! She waved to me continuously out of the back car window the whole way back to their house, as I followed them in my own car. So cute.
She has a gorgeous pink bedroom, full of fun toys, girly jewellery and pretty much everything a girl could want.

These are some of Hannah's most precious, special and loved toys.
Hannah was very keen to show me her birthday hat and playdough cake she got from kindy when she turned five! It's a proud moment when you graduate from being a little kindy kid to a big school girl. I still remember my playdough cake and glittery hat too.
Back at home, we met Hannah's Dad, Dean, and got some great family portraits.

Hannah you are absolutely adorable, and you have amazing parents who think the world of you! Thank you for having sooo much fun with me on our photo shoot! I am sorry I couldn't stay and play with you and your fun toys for the rest of the day, but I did LOVE watching your beautiful ballet dancing, and seeing all your cool things in your bedroom. Thank you for being such a great wee model (you knew all the poses!). I loved photographing you!
