Belonging to a family is an essential part of our being. Families love, care and support. Cassandra and Andrew married, and in doing so, joined two awesome families into one big amazing unit. Their family is tight and this whole wedding was testament to how important family is to them. It was a celebration of Cass and Andrew's love for each other, all of the people who have supported them to this point, and the five beautiful children that now make up their family.
There were beautiful details galore, and much of this wedding was filled with DIY goodness... Cassandra is the wonderwoman behind Stardust Designs here in Dunedin, and is one INCREDIBLY talented lady! A lot of what you will see in this blog had been handmade for the occasion.

You may remember Cass and her mother, Veronica, from a make-over shoot I did with them, as part of a Bellyful event last year. I loved photographing these beautiful ladies, and was very excited when Cassandra and Andrew booked me for their wedding in November 2012. Tinged with sadness, I got a call that the wedding had to be moved forward to April, as unfortunately Veronica got very sick and was not expected to live beyond that point. My heart broke for Cass and over the next few months, we eagerly awaited news and planned the wedding for April. Thankfully Veronica is still doing ok, and was well enough to attend the wedding, and to enjoy every minute of it! It was so precious to have her there, and it is something I am sure Cass and Andrew will forever be grateful for! Another talented lady, she was very involved in making baskets for the flower girls and other beautiful details - Cass is blessed with a beautiful mother who loves her to pieces.
Cass even handmade all the wire names for the bridesmaids coat-hangers!
Loved these gorgeous flax flowers!
Beautiful flowergirl #1, Ashlee!
Meanwhile, over at Andrew's house, the boys were getting the cufflinks on and the cars sorted...
And back at the girls, getting the dress on was a bit emotional...
Butterflies were a recurring theme throughout all the details... everything tied in so perfectly and Cass even got a butterfly tattoo just for the wedding!
Even though the girls were running about 30mins late for the ceremony, little flower girl # 2, Ella, decided it was the perfect time to tip her petals on the floor as we were running out the door to travel to the church! Good practice for walking down the aisle?!
Cass sees her Dad and step-dad (who are both walking her down the aisle) for the first time as she arrives at the church...
The ceremony was beautiful and heart-felt... and hilarious (thanks to 3 year old Ella who enjoyed being centre of attention for a while I think)!!! Cass and Andrew committed themselves to each other, and the whole ceremony was awesome to witness.
Beautiful couple...
...and all the awesome children!
Cassandra you look so beautiful xx
Andrew and the boys were pretty big fans of the car shots - especially this one with the railway station in it! I will credit Liam with this...
Mr and Mrs Campbell! Wahoooooo!! Congratulations to you both - we are so excited for you and look forward to catching up to deliver your gorgeous prints and canvas!! Liam and I loved being part of your wedding and meeting your amazing family and friends! All the best for everything coming up for you both ;) XOXO
