The heat of the sun poured down on us as we drove to Arrowtown to capture Gina and Blair's gorgeous wedding. February in Central Otago appears to have been slightly more summery than ours here in Dunedin! Add in massive doses of the warmth of love, family and commitment... and it was a scorcher.
When we arrived at Gina's parents house in Arrowtown, we found a hive of activity - the bride and all her girls were huddled around a bouquet-making work-station! Wow - massive respect for anyone who can just whip up a casual bridal party's worth of beautiful bouquets and button-holes, just a mere few hours before the ceremony!

And look at the result! Talent in extreme measures.
Gina has three very fabulous nieces, and one very cute nephew! They were absolute stars on the day.
A sneak peek of the wedding vehicle...
We darted around the corner to quickly capture what the boys were doing to prepare... it's always a different atmosphere from the girls! Blair and his guys were desperately trying to find cool shade, and just chillaxin' with a couple of beers...
Back at the girls, Gina transformed from the florist, into the bride... and a very spectacular one she was!
Hustle and bustle... excitement and nerves...
Annnnd Bob the Builder just calmly fixing everything...
I love that the family 'Maxwell Brothers' truck was used as a wedding vehicle for Gina's last day as a Maxwell. I think the kids loved it too.
Only in Arrowtown could you get away with towing people on a trailer to their wedding... and have them feel like royalty too! Nothing expresses more awesomeness than a red tractor as the bridal vehicle.
After a slow but very fun drive down the streets of Arrowtown, we made it to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, which is surrounded by cottages and all the old town greatness that Arrowtown has to offer.
And so it begins... Gina and her father walk down the aisle to her groom...
The ceremony was exploding with loveliness! The service sheet introduced the musicians as the 'Von Maxwell Family'... and that they were! Incredible music on an array of instruments, spine-tingling harmonies, and talent in multitudes!
We couldn't forget a major dose of cuteness too!
Annnd I guess the most important thing - oozing with love and excitement as Gina and Blair began a wonderful new marriage...
And they were pretty happy about it too!
A very well-loved family tractor (which has never been so sparkly and clean in all it's life), and the bride's father, Jeff, cranking it to get it going... with a bouquet in his hand! Whatever works I guess!
Even though I have been through this set of wedding photos countless times... this photo still makes me laugh out loud every.single.time! No judgement here, it's a long day when you are a groomsman! But beware: Nothing goes past us.
Don't blame me... it was the boys who were keen for some Spirit Fingers!
While I shot this...
Liam shot this...
Gina was a perfect bride! Her every move was so pretty...
And the bridal party were beyond awesome!
Jumping FAIL! We have photo evidence it was you who did the damage Blair!!! Next he had to go crawling to the land owners to apologise for the broken fence!
Stunning bride and groom!
Gina and Blair, your day was beautiful! I'm so glad you love your photos... we loved photographing you guys!! We hope that the lifetime of years you have to come are full to the brim of love and happiness! xx
