We left Monique and Brett's wedding feeling like we had been part of something truly awesome. We loved every minute of this beautiful day, which took place up the remote Matukituki Valley out of Wanaka, where Brett works on the Matukituki Station.
Monique and Brett are made for each other! In August they welcomed their first gorgeous wee child, Jack, into this world and their wee family, so he was able to be part of their amazing day as well. They are just such natural parents and they so obviously belong together. We were surrounded in beautiful people, amazing scenery, and a lot of hilarity and awesomeness.

As it often does, our day began with the guys, who were suiting up appropriately. You may recognise Brett and his groomsman Jamie from Chelsea and Jamie's wedding blog - the roles reversed, and they were up to just as much mischief as last time!
We were welcomed to the girls' with the biggest, most relaxed smile from the most beautiful bride... who was in the middle of doing her bridesmaids make-up! She's talented, she's perfectly relaxed and organised, and she's gorgeous from the inside out. It was such a pleasure to capture such a humble, stunning girl as Monique.
Monique, you make an exquisite bride!
We have been doing more and more 'first looks' before wedding ceremonies - love the emotion and moments they create! This first look happened at Cattle Flat station - on the huuuuge and incredibly amazing property that these guys are moving into this month. The gardens are impeccable... seriously must be a full time job keeping those up... so good luck guys ;)
As if this day wasn't already perfect enough - a chopper ride was in order to see more the amazing Matukituki Valley, and to land on Black Peak!!! Total epicness! I'm pretty sure helicopter rides never get boring - such an incredible experience... especially when you add in quite a lot of wind... you realise how teeny tiny you are up in the sky, bouncing around amongst the giant mountains! I'm pretty happy to keep this up at weddings though... this is just how we roll :)
It's completely awe-inspiring being up there with the snow-capped peaks, especially with a pretty girl in a white dress, and a veil that cannot be tamed!
The ceremony was held on the station where Brett works - it was isolated, raw, and perfect for bunch of farmers and Southlanders! We had to wait a good 40 minutes for the girls to arrive (I swear they left at the same time as us!), but it gave the guests a really good chance to take in the incredible scenery... and the river provided some sweet entertainment.
It's official! Mr and Mrs Dillon!
The moments of congratulations after the ceremony are some of my favourite things to shoot...
Wee Jack is so incredibly cute!! Awesome little family xx
LOVE.
The reception at The Venue in Wanaka, was full of perfect details and gorgeous moments!
Ahhhh soooo much love and goodness from one day - how is it possible?! Thank you soooo much Brett and Monique!! We had the best time in your beautiful slice of the beautiful country - you were so perfect to photograph and hang with all day. We hope you love these as much as we loved taking them! Lots of love to you guys and wee Jack xoxo
