Hold on to your ovaries, ladies! I was lucky enough to attend a newborn photography workshop run by the fabulous Amy Cope Photography! It was such an amazing day, packed full of information and hands on shoots with two gorgeous new wee babies under 10 days old - Declan and Madison! I left with my head exploding with new knowledge... this workshop was 100% worth the investment, and I am looking forward to photographing a few more gorgeous wee newborns when I get back into work! (But first, I am diving head first into this 'professional development' thing by giving birth to my own wee newborn in the next couple of weeks!).
Here is a little of what we did at the workshop... but please let me absolutely stress that Amy (who is honestly amazing!) did all of the posing and prop set-up for these first photos... I just photographed and edited! So I don't claim them as my own... just want to share a little with you!

With our heads bursting with things we wanted to try after the workshop, I teamed up with Miss J. Weatherall Photography to have a play around with some ideas and concepts. We were privileged to have the gorgeous, smiley 11 day old Kensi in my studio to photograph! The below photos were a mixture of set-ups from Justine and I...
Loved this wee thinking pose that Kensi got herself into as we were just finishing up! Gorgeous wee button.
I cannooooot believe I'm going to have my own wee bubba to photograph any day now too! :) xx
