Confession time. I've been reeeeally behind on the blogging front lately! Give me a slap on the hand! The perfectionist in me really struggles to do things out of order, and getting behind on one, meant I got behind on lots! Blogging is one of my absolute favourite things to do - letting stories be heard is so important to me! I looooove to share these stories... mostly through the photographs, and also through writing. And let's be honest, I love hearing the comments and getting feedback on my work too! It's awesome seeing who is actually out there waiting for the next blog to pop up! (So big thank you to all of you who jump straight on to a new blog and let me know what you think... it always puts a smile on my face!)
But of course, I only share when people actually want their stories to be told or their images to be shared. There is so much that never reaches the blog, not because I don't ADORE the photos, but because so often photography is an incredibly intimate and personal thing... whether it be an engagement shoot, family shoot, a wedding, children... anything. I want to respect peoples private connection to their photos.

Courtney and Joshua's beautiful big day was, um, the 19th of January in Dunedin! Opps. You may realise this was nearly 6 months ago. Normally I try to blog weddings within a few weeks of the wedding if they want it to be shared, however this lovely couple had decided previously they wanted to keep their images mostly private. A month or so after though, I got a message from beautiful Courtney saying that they were so over the moon with their photos, that they would actually love for me to blog some, as it was a great way to show their friends a few of their images! I've been really excited about sharing them, however I was right smack bang in the middle of the busiest months of our wedding season, and getting time to catch up on this one proved difficult! So here we go, months later.... ready to share a slice of their beeeautiful wedding through some images. The length of time gives NO indication about how much I want to share these, how elegant and glorious Courtney was as a bride, how deeply Josh and Courtney love each other, and how wonderful their day was!!
And the details?! Oh so beautiful. Courtney is a designer, and had created and included the most beautiful, special things to add to the loveliness of their day! These awesome bags were handmade by her friend in Cornwall...

Her pearl necklace was gifted to her by her very special great-godmother, and pearl earrings from her lovely fiancé!
Courtney and Lisa are awesomely close friends, and got married only 2 weeks apart, so they both were bridesmaids for each other! We had the privilege of photographing both gorgeous weddings! Love how excited Lisa was to see Courtney getting ready to go!
Wearing the veil both her Grandmother and Mother wore, we thought Courtney had a very elegant 'Grace Kelly' look on her wedding day! From start to finish their wedding just oozed classic, romantic elegance.
